As part of our podcast series we talked with Professor Patrick Develtere on how wrong and correct narratives have shaped the relations between EU and Africa. Professor Develtere teaches at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the KU Leuven University. In this episode we discuss the EU cooperation strategy in Africa. Gaia Carmilla

Gaia Carmilla holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science, International Relations and Human Rights and is currently a Master student of International Security Study at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, in Pisa (Italy). Her research interests include EU-AU relations, Human Security and Gender security in conflict zones. She is fluent in English and Italian, she also speaks French and Portuguese.
