As part of our Monday Talks series supported by Science 14, we talked with Dunja Mijatović, Human Rights Commissioner of the Council of Europe (CoE). Vocal Europe’s Astrid Viaud conducted the interview with the Commissioner in Strasbourg at the CoE headquarters where the Human Rights Commissioner was asked about the human rights situation in Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Western Balkans, and Catalonia.

Astrid Viaud is a Doctor in Political and Social Sciences from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), a specialist in the economic sanctions adopted by the United Nations Security Council, the United States, and the European Union, from their legal and geopolitical angles, and their application in particular vis-à-vis Myanmar, Syria, Russia and the development of the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran. She is now a Visiting Research Fellow at Vocal Europe.
