As part of our Monday Talks series, we have talked to H.E Janis Mazeiks, Head of the Delegation to the Republic of Moldova. We discussed the current state of EU-Moldova cooperation in security and defence policy, as well as possible avenues to strengthen it against the backdrop of growing Russian aggression in Eastern Europe. We touched upon a broad range of sub areas, such as the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), training of armed forces officers as well as hybrid threats. We concluded by discussing the EU’s role in conflict settlement in Transnistria.
