Yesterday, 01 March 2021, Albania and the European Union held the Stabilization and Association Council’s eleventh meeting. The meeting was chaired by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission, Mr Josep Borrell.
The Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, presented the Albanian delegation and the Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Mr Olivér Várhelyi represented the European Commission.
According to the official joint statement, Albania has made significant progress in many reform areas, including the rule of law and the judiciary, respect for fundamental rights, public administration, economic policy, education and the green agenda.
